Janet Webb was raised west of Brighton, Ontario, nestled in the hills of Cramahe Township overlooking beautiful Lake Ontario and High Bluff Island. The familiar landscape awakened a desire in her to capture its beauty in art. She has had formal training under the tutelage of the late Betty O'Neil, and then with Ron Sayeau and Ron Livingston. Her enjoyment of watercolour painting has been further encouraged by the camaraderie of the Codrington Art Group in Codrington, Ontario.
Fletch is a fifth generation Torontonian who found country living much to his and his wife's liking 23 years ago. He has been sketching off and on since he was 5. Fletch has found new inspiration by joining the Codrington Open Studio in January 2015. Since then, with the encouragement of fellow members along with their technique pointers, he branched into watercolours. He now finds this has been his most productive period.
When not painting he can be found volunteering his time to Quinte Sailability helping individuals with disabilities learn to sail and develop their independence in day-to-day life.
Barbara McGuey is an accomplished artist who hails from Newmarket, Ontario. With numerous awards and honours to her credit, it's hard to decide where to begin. The highlight of her experience to date would probably be a commission by the Mayor of Newmarket of five water colour illustrations of heritage areas around the Town of Newmarket. Along with this acknowledgement, limited edition giclee prints of these works would be given as gifts to visiting dignitaries. Barb has chosen to take up residence in Quinte West, and she is eager to contribute to the local art scene.
